About Optimus League Optimus League is a free, fan-made football prediction application created for football enthusiasts around the world. Users can test their football knowledge, participate in official Optimus League tournaments, create their own tournaments and compete with other football fans. Optimus League is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, how long we retain it, and what rights you have regarding your personal information. 2. Who is responsible for your personal data? Optimus League is jointly operated and administered by: Kaupo Mägi Mikk Kuusk Estonia Kaupo Mägi and Mikk Kuusk jointly determine how and why personal data is processed in connection with Optimus League and are jointly responsible for the protection and handling of user information. For data-protection purposes, Kaupo Mägi and Mikk Kuusk act as the joint data controllers for personal data processed through Optimus League. What information do we collect? 3.1 Information required to create an account When you create an Optimus League account, we collect: Username Email address Date of birth IP address This information is mandatory because it is necessary for the operation, identification, security and fair-play functions of Optimus League. 3.2 Optional profile information Users may voluntarily add the following information to their profile: Gender Country of residence This information is not required to create an account or participate in Optimus League. Users can add, change or remove this information through their profile. For gender, the available options are: Male Female Prefer not to say The gender field may also be left empty. 3.3 Tournament and account information While using Optimus League, we process information associated with your account and participation in tournaments, including: Tournaments you participate in Predictions Scores Rankings Trophies and achievements Tournaments you create, where applicable This information is necessary for Optimus League to operate its tournaments and provide its services. 3.4 Newsletter subscription Users may choose to receive the Optimus League newsletter. Newsletter subscription is optional and can be enabled or disabled through the user's profile. We may process your email address and newsletter subscription status in order to send the newsletter when you have chosen to receive it. 4. Why do we collect and use your information? We process personal information for the following purposes. 4.1 Providing the Optimus League service We use account and tournament information to allow users to: Create and maintain an account Participate in tournaments Make predictions Receive scores and rankings Earn trophies and achievements Create tournaments Participate in tournaments created by other users 4.2 Age verification Optimus League is an 18+ platform. Your date of birth is collected to establish that you meet the minimum age requirement. If we discover that a user is under 18, or that a user has provided false age information, we may suspend or permanently delete the account. 4.3 Fair play and security Your IP address may be used to help: Detect and investigate suspected multiple-account activity Prevent users from circumventing tournament restrictions or account bans Identify suspicious activity that may affect the fairness or integrity of tournaments Protect Optimus League against abuse, automated attacks, spam and other security threats Investigate potential violations of Optimus League rules An IP address is not by itself considered conclusive evidence of cheating or a rule violation. Multiple users may legitimately share an IP address, for example through a household, workplace, school, mobile network or VPN. IP information is used as one factor when investigating suspicious activity. We do not use IP addresses for advertising or marketing. 4.4 Country information If you voluntarily provide your country, we may use this information to understand where our community is located and to help us consider creating regional tournaments or other country- or region-specific features in the future. Providing your country is optional. 4.5 Gender information If you voluntarily provide your gender, we may use this information to understand our community and help us consider creating football prediction tournaments or categories related to men's and women's football. Providing your gender is optional. You can remove your gender information from your profile at any time. 4.6 Prize verification and delivery If you win an Optimus League prize, we may request additional information to: Verify that you are the actual prize winner Confirm that you are at least 18 years old Prevent fraudulent prize claims Deliver the prize to you 5. Legal bases for processing Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, we process personal information using the following legal bases. 5.1 Providing the service We process information such as your username, email address, date of birth and tournament information because it is necessary to provide the Optimus League service you have requested. 5.2 Legitimate interests We process IP addresses and related security information based on our legitimate interest in: Preventing fraud and abuse Protecting tournament fairness Detecting suspicious activity Protecting the security of Optimus League Preventing users from circumventing restrictions We limit this processing to what is reasonably necessary for these purposes. 5.3 Optional profile information Country and gender are optional. Users choose whether to provide this information and can remove it from their profile. Where consent is used as the legal basis for this optional information, users may withdraw their consent by removing the information from their profile. 5.4 Newsletter Where required by applicable law, newsletter communications are sent based on the user's consent. Users can withdraw their consent at any time by disabling the newsletter in their profile or using an unsubscribe option provided in the email. 5.5 Prize verification When a user wins a prize, we process the information necessary to verify the winner and fulfil the prize. This may include identity, age, address and contact information. 6. Information visible to other users Optimus League is a competitive platform, and certain information is visible to other users as part of the service. Other users may see: Your username Tournaments you participate in Your predictions where applicable Your scores Your rankings Trophies and achievements you have won Your private account information is not publicly displayed. This includes: Email address IP address Date of birth Identification documents Prize delivery information Other private account information 7. Prize Winner Verification If you win a prize in an Optimus League tournament, we may contact you by email using the email address associated with your Optimus League account. For prize verification and delivery, we may ask you to provide additional information by email, such as: Full name Date of birth A photograph or copy of a passport, identity card or driving licence Delivery address Contact information This information is not collected through the Optimus League application and is not required to create or use an Optimus League account. The information is requested only when necessary to: Verify that you are the actual prize winner Confirm that you are at least 18 years old Prevent fraudulent prize claims Arrange delivery of the prize Prize-verification and prize-delivery information is not added to or stored as part of your normal Optimus League account data. Once the prize has been delivered, the information collected specifically for prize verification and delivery, including identification documents, will be deleted. We do not use this information for marketing, advertising or any purpose unrelated to prize verification and prize delivery. 8. Who has access to your information? Access to private user information is limited to the authorised Optimus League operators: Kaupo Mägi Mikk Kuusk They may access user information when necessary to operate, maintain, secure, administer or support Optimus League. We do not sell, rent or commercially provide user personal information to other companies or individuals. Where necessary to deliver a prize, information required for delivery may be provided to the relevant delivery or prize-fulfilment provider. 9. Hosting and infrastructure Optimus League uses Railway for application hosting and infrastructure. The Optimus League application infrastructure is deployed in Railway's EU West region in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Railway may process certain information as a service provider supporting the operation of our application and infrastructure. Although our application infrastructure is deployed in the EU, certain service-provider operations or support activities may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards required by data-protection law will be used. 10. Newsletter and email communications Optimus League offers users the option to receive newsletters and other optional communications. Newsletter subscription is optional and is not required to create an account, participate in tournaments or use Optimus League. Users can enable or disable the newsletter through their profile at any time. The newsletter may contain: Optimus League news and updates Upcoming tournament announcements New features and platform updates Other information relating to Optimus League Disabling the newsletter does not prevent Optimus League from sending essential service-related communications, such as account, security, legal or other messages necessary to operate the service. Email service provider Optimus League uses Resend to send and deliver emails. When you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address and information necessary to deliver the email may be processed by Resend on our behalf. Resend may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate data-transfer safeguards are used. We do not sell your email address or provide it to Resend for independent marketing purposes. 11. Data retention We keep account and tournament information while your Optimus League account remains active. This includes: Username Email address Date of birth IP address Gender, if provided Country, if provided Tournament participation Predictions Scores Rankings Trophies and achievements Account deletion You may delete your Optimus League account at any time. When your account is deleted, the information associated with your account will be permanently deleted from our system. This includes your: Profile Username Email address Date of birth IP address Gender Country Tournament participation Predictions Scores Rankings Trophies Achievements Information that was previously visible to other users will no longer remain associated with an Optimus League account. Prize-winner verification information collected specifically for verifying eligibility and delivering a prize is deleted after the prize has been delivered. We do not intentionally retain personal account information after account deletion, except where retention is required by applicable law. 12. By creating an Optimus League account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If we discover that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or permanently delete the account. We may use the date of birth provided during registration to enforce this requirement. For prize winners, we may request an official identification document to verify age and identity. 14. Cookies and advertising Optimus League does not currently use advertising cookies or advertising tracking services. We do not sell personal information to advertisers. If our use of cookies, analytics or advertising technologies changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy where required and provide any legally required information or choices. 15. International users Optimus League is intended for football fans around the world. Although Optimus League is operated from Estonia and follows applicable European data-protection requirements, users from outside the European Union and European Economic Area may also use the platform. Users located outside the European Union or European Economic Area may also have privacy rights under the laws of their country of residence. 16.
